Hew to Hope Church?

Thinking of Visiting?

We pride ourselves on making sure you feel really welcome and at home in our church meetings. We believe that Church should be enjoyed, not endured. So why not come down and check us out. We have twos services each Sunday (9.30am and 11.45am) except during the Summer Holidays where we meet once at 10.30am. We are sure you’ll love our church as much as we do and we look forward to meeting you.

What can I expect?

We want you to have a great experience at church, so our welcome team will be ready to greet you when you arrive and give you one of our welcome leaflets. Someone will greet you at the entrance and once you get to the auditorium, a steward will show you to a seat, or just let you find your own if you choose.

Our meetings are pretty relaxed. We sing a few songs, (the words to songs come up on big screens) normally people stand for this, you are free to sing along, sit or stand, no one will mind if you just want to observe. Once a month we take communion (bread & wine) and someone will talk for about half an hour.

Wear what you like! The dress code is casual, although you won’t look out of place if you wanted to wear a suit! Wear what you feel most comfortable in.

Hopefully it will inspire you and help you in your journey through life.

How do I find the Church? [ Car / Bus / Foot ]

We meet at The Hub, Ayton Road, Wymondham. There are regular buses into Wymondham town centre. If you plan to walk, it’s a 10/15 min walk from the centre of town.

By Car – to find us using a SatNav, our postcode is NR18 0QJ.

Where can I park?

There is good parking on site, and it’s free! Just drive into The Hub car park through the white gates off Ayton Road, where there is parking at the rear of the building.

Disabled access

We have disabled parking and a drop off area for anyone who needs it. Simply drive into the main entrance and you will see there are disabled parking bays on your left before going through the white gates. The car park attendants will assist you.

There is a ramp up to the glass entrance doors. There is a disabled toilet down the corridor to the left of the entrance foyer and in the toilet block in the auditorium. The seating can easily be arranged when you arrive so that a wheelchair can be part of the seating of a normal row if you would like. Only guide dogs inside the building please.

What about my children?

Children and young people are a high priority at Hope. That’s why we have a dedicated team of people who will look after them and help them to get loads out of church.

Both Sunday meeting times have activities. Your children will be met by a leader at either 9.15am /11.30am in the foyer. Your children will stay with you for the first part of the meeting (about 20mins) in the main auditorium. There will be an announcement from the front saying that it is time for the children to leave and go to their activities. Both Mini-Über and Über go to the rear of the auditorium where they will be met by leaders wearing Über t-shirts and led to the activities room. Parents of Über children are encouraged to remain seated.

For those with children under 5, parents normally stay with their children until they arrive safely in the Baby Über and Mini Über rooms. You are welcome to stay longer with your child to make sure they are settled if you need to.

What happens between meetings?

There is a special Welcome Table to the right of the stage in the main auditorium (with a welcome banner) for guests where you can meet part of our welcome team and see all the flyers and activities we have on offer as part of church life. We would love to meet you!

At the end of each meeting there may be a chance for people to be prayed for. The person at the front will direct people to the right place to receive prayer. (normally to a banner of a cross so people know where to go).

Do I need to bring any money with me?

We take an offering in most of our services, but as a guest, we don’t expect you to give. We are just glad to have you with us! Please feel free to just allow the offering basket to pass you by, unless of course you want to invest in what you see.

You can bring money if you wish, you can also give online using the button below.
