Life as a Christian is more than just Sundays. We firstly seek to equip the whole church to live out their faith in the real world at their places of work, in their communities and in their relationships.
We are not a "come and see" church but very much a "go and demonstrate the Kingdom of God" in every aspect of society that we touch.
Our involvement with Hub Community Project enables us to show the love of Christ in meaningful, practical ways and to partnership with others in the provision of much needed resources.
We seek to be sensitive to the leadings of the Holy Spirit and God's prophetic voice and live out an adventure of faith in following him.
Life Groups
Sharing life with one another is one of the greatest privileges of following Jesus, to be in a group of people who are for you, want to bless you and who you in return can share your journey with Jesus is one of the joys of being in a church community.
At Hope, we know that Sunday mornings are limited in how this can happen and that is why we have Life Groups, a gathering of eight to twelve people who meet mid week to gather in community and explore their walk with Jesus.
In our groups we look to create an atmosphere of GRACE which stands for:
- Growing in our relationship with Jesus and with one another;
- Reaching out to our neighbours with the good news of Jesus;
- Accountability to one another in living our lives in holiness;
- Community together where we can develop great relationships;
- Encountering Jesus though worship and prayer.
Life Groups meet on various evenings and daytimes in the week both in Wymondham and the surrounding area and if you would like to try out a group then please contact Kevin Smith at contact the church office.

Student Links with the UEA - Grow: Students
At Hope we are very blessed to be joined each week by a contingent of students from the University of East Anglia in Norwich. Our student coordinator provides theological and pastoral support for our student group through discipleship sessions, Bible studies, student lunches and occasionally preaching at the UEA Christian Union.
Students are a valued part of our family life at Hope Community Church and are also encouraged to join a life group.
If you are a student at UEA or would be interested in serving the student group by being available to provide transport to and from church on a Sunday morning then please contact the church office
Hope Prayer Share
If you have prayer requests or would like to be included in the group that prays for people, please email your details to us.
Prayer
Start Sunday morning with some fantastic times of prayer in the quiet room before the main Sunday meetings at The Hub. A time not to be missed.
Intern at Hope
Every Autumn we seek a team of year out students that are aged 18 and over to work with us, to help us do all that God has called us to do.
As an intern at Hope, you will grow in God, in your relationship with him, in seeing Him at work in your life, in finding out more about Him and also how to step out more and more in the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
Our passion is that our interns not only grow in their biblical knowledge of God and in their skills, but also to be imparted with something of the gifts that we have been blessed with in our church.
Over 10-12 months volunteering (usually starting in September), you would be part of the staff team and have the opportunity for bible training. In the year there are a number of areas you can intern in (either for the year or spend a term in each), which are;
Children's Work
Excitingly this year we are partnering with Raise Kids Work (www.raisekidswork.org.uk) and this would see you work with our children’s worker and Raise through the week, visiting schools, assisting Sunday preparations, helping at FISH (food in the school holiday) and working towards our children’s weekend, Epic!
Youth Work
Working alongside our youth worker, you would be involved in all aspects of our youth work including the weekly church youth groups, after school clubs for non church children, working with the High Schools in the area and the yearly Youth Weekend Away retreat & Newday.
Hub Community Project
We have many projects which bless our community, including work with toddlers, carers and the isolated. You would work alongside many of the project leaders and also assist in funding applications and publicity.
If you are interested in being an intern at Hope, then please do contact the church office for more details – office@hopecommunitychurch.co.uk
